1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TempMailChecker ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Service Description

TempMailChecker provides an API service that detects disposable and temporary email addresses. The Service:

• Checks email domains against a database of known disposable email providers
• Returns a boolean response indicating if an email is temporary
• Provides usage statistics and analytics through a dashboard

The Service is provided "as is" and we make no guarantees about detection accuracy or availability.

3. Account Terms

To use the Service, you must:

• Provide a valid email address
• Create a secure password (minimum 8 characters)
• Keep your API key confidential
• Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)
• Not share your account with others

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• ❌ Violate any laws or regulations
• ❌ Harvest or collect email addresses for spam
• ❌ Attempt to reverse-engineer our detection algorithms
• ❌ Resell API access without authorization
• ❌ Circumvent rate limits or authentication
• ❌ Attack, probe, or test vulnerability of our systems
• ❌ Interfere with other users' access to the Service
• ❌ Use the Service for any illegal purpose

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.

5. API Usage

When using our API, you agree to:

• Include your API key in all requests
• Handle API responses appropriately in your application
• Not cache our responses for longer than 24 hours
• Display appropriate error messages to your users
• Not misrepresent the source of the email validation

We reserve the right to modify the API at any time. Breaking changes will be communicated via email and our changelog.

6. Rate Limits & Quotas

Exceeding your quota will result in HTTP 429 responses until the quota resets or you upgrade. Unused requests do not roll over. Attempts to circumvent rate limits (e.g. by creating multiple accounts) may result in temporary or permanent suspension.

7. Fees, Payment & Refunds

Plans & Pricing: The Service offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Current plans, quotas, and prices are listed on the pricing page. Prices are in USD and exclude any applicable taxes (e.g. VAT), which are calculated at checkout where required.

Billing: Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel. We do not store your card details — payment information is handled entirely by Stripe.

Upgrades & Downgrades: Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your dashboard.

Cancellation: When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free plan. No further charges are made.

Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first payment of a new subscription — contact support@tempmailchecker.com within 7 days of that payment for a full refund. Beyond this guarantee, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

Failed Payments: If a recurring payment fails, we may retry it and notify you. If payment continues to fail, your account may be downgraded to the free plan.

Price Changes: We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Price changes take effect at your next billing cycle after the notice period; if you disagree, you may cancel before then.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy of detection results
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

We do not guarantee that our detection will identify all disposable emails or that legitimate emails will never be flagged.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEMPMAILCHECKER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from false positives or negatives in email detection
• Service interruptions or data loss

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

By You: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your dashboard settings.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Abuse the Service or our systems
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay applicable fees

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data after termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via:

• Email to your registered address
• Notice on our website
• At least 30 days before the changes take effect

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TempMailChecker operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
